Event: The Land Affair – FLT’s Annual Fundraising Event

The Land Affair – FLT’s Annual Fundraising Event
Aug
19

We are very sorry to announce that Flathead Land Trust has decided to cancel The Land Affair event which was scheduled for this Thursday, August 19.  Our organization came to this tough decision after careful consideration of the risks of holding an in-person event right now due to increasing Covid-19 cases in the Flathead Valley in recent weeks.

We are totally bummed to have to share this news as we were so excited to finally get together with you all and celebrate conservation of our open spaces and wild places in the Flathead.  Even though this was a difficult decision to make, it was made in the best interest for your safety and our Flathead community.  As a local, community-based nonprofit organization, we also feel the need to show support for our local healthcare workers, educators, families and service industry workers during a tough time.

If you have already purchased your ticket(s), you have the option to have them fully refunded or to designate your ticket purchase as a tax deductible donation to FLT.  Please reply to me at ptravis@flatheadlandtrust.org or call 406-752-8293 to let us know your preference.

As a way to say thank you for your understanding and support, all Land Affair ticket holders and FLT donors will be invited to a “Friends of Flathead Land Trust” celebration sometime in the (hopefully) not too distant future.  We’ll let you know when we get a date scheduled.

If you were planning to donate at the event with our Live Drive paddle raise, I encourage you to support our efforts during the Great Fish Community Challenge. Donations made right now will receive a percentage match from Whitefish Community Foundation until we reach $20,000 raised!  Even though we can’t get together for The Land Affair, you can still make a difference and help us complete future conservation projects throughout the Flathead, similar to the Bad Rock Canyon Conservation Project and Somers Beach.

Thank you again for your understanding and showing your support for the important conservation work of FLT!  Contact us at ptravis@flatheadlandtrust.org or 406-752-8293.
