OUR MEMBERS

Thank you to all of our individual and business members in 2009-2010! We could not continue to do landmark conservation work in Flathead Valley without your support.

Flathead Land Trust members receive newsletters, conservation alerts, invitations to FLT and partner events, and have the satisfaction of knowing they are helping to protect the quality of life in northwest Montana.

Landowners
All of the landowners we work with are honorary members of Flathead Land Trust. Their commitment to conservation is absolutely critical to our work and we greatly appreciate their willingness to work with us to protect the Flathead Valley’s most important resources - our land and water.

Business Memberships
Great things happen with great partners. Our business members help ensure our place in the community by providing resources for our success. Because we’re an organization that serves the entire Flathead Valley, we are pleased to have support from diverse businesses throughout the area.   Businesses that become Flathead Land Trust members share a common vision – preserving the health and beauty of Flathead Valley for their employees, their families and their community. They also receive excellent exposure to our individual members, as we showcase business membership in our newsletters, on this website, and at special events.  See below for a list of business members in 2009-2010.

Individual Memberships
As a local land trust, we depend on support from people like you – those who share our appreciation for the incredible natural values of the Flathead Valley, including rivers, havens for wildlife, open space, farmland and forests, and the many opportunities we have to enjoy and benefit from our beautiful surroundings. We welcome your financial gifts, be it memberships, special contributions, planned gifts, or gifts of stock, land, and other assets.

Foundation Grants
A portion of our operating funds, as well as some donor-designated funds, come from private foundations that have a special interest in land conservation in northwest Montana. These funds are critical to our work and help us to continue to provide a great service to local landowners interested in voluntary conservation easements.

A special thanks to The Sustainability Fund of the Flathead Community Foundation, Turner Foundation, Cadeau Foundation, The Bibler Foundation, Cinnabar Foundation, Hollensteiner Foundation, SahanDaywi Foundation, Ila B. Dousman Fund, Inc., Plum Creek Foundation, Heart of the Rockies Initiative-Wilburforce Foundation, the Carlson Charitable Fund, and others for their 2009 grants.   These funds have greatly enhanced our ability to provide high quality, professional service to area landowners, our partners, and our members.
